The Sixth International Conference on “Big Data Analytics” (BDA 2018) was held during 18th – 21st December, 2018 at NIT Warangal which was organized by department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Warangal.
Preconference Workshop was held on 18th December, 2018
The programme commenced with the inauguration followed by Inaugural Talk on Blockchain 101 and Applications by Mukesh Mohania from IBM Australia. The program was attended by 134 participants from different institutions. The participants comprised, faculty, post-graduate students, research scholars and Delegates from different organizations. In the morning session, there were three paper presentations followed by Panel Discussion on “Challenges and Opportunities in Blockchain Technologies”.
In the post lunch session, there were three invited talks by Sri Chandrasekaran, Program Manager, IEEE Standards Association, Sriram Birudavolu, SVP Information Sciences, T-Hub and Sridhar Vedhanabatla Sr Security Architect, Member, DSCI followed by three paper presentations

The programme commenced with the inauguration of the events by the Chief guest Shri. Jayesh Ranjan, I. A. S., Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Govt. of Telangana, Hyderabad. Prof. Yoshiharu Ishikawa, Nagoya University, Japan, Dr. Mukesh Mohania, IBM, Australia, Prof. Yanchun Zhang, Victoria University, Australia, Prof. Srinath Srinivasa, IIIT Bangalore, India, Prof. Sharma Chakravarthy, The University of Texas at Arlington, USA, Prof. Subhash Bhalla, The University of Aziu, Japan graced the occasion as Distinguished Guests. Prof. N. V. Ramana Rao, Director, NIT Warangal presided over the function. Prof. P. Krishna Reddy, Steering Committee Chair, Prof. D. V. L. N. Somayajulu, General Chair, Prof. Anirban Mondal, PC Chair and Prof. R. B. V. Subramanyam, Organizing Chair were also present on the dias.

In the Post Lunch Session, there were four paper presentations followed by cultural program and Banquet Dinner.

Sessions started with the Keynote talk by Prof. Yoshiharu Ishikawa, Nagoya University, Japan, Invited Talks by Prof. Sharma Chakravarthy, The University of Texas at Arlington, USA and Prof. Subhash Bhalla, The University of Aizu, Japan and three paper presentations. There were also two tutorial sessions organized in parallel.
In the Post Lunch Session, there were four paper presentations followed by Panel Discussion on “Can DBMS Technologies Play a Significant Role in Big Data Analytics”. At the end of the discussion there was a cultural program followed by dinner.
21th December, 2018
Sessions started with the Keynote talk by Prof. Divyakant Agarwal, University of California at Santa Barbara, USA, Invited Talks by Dr. Praveen Paruchuri, IIIT Hyderabad and Prof. Ravi Kothari, Ashoka University, India and three paper presentations. There was also a tutorial session organized in parallel.
After lunch break, there was a local tour organized for all the participants.
